I've looked at this drawing about a half a dozen times, and I've never known what to say. It's both funny and horrifying. I don't know what's the worst--the leg like a log, the glasses on the table, or the guy's complete nonchalance. But in any case, it's quite an intriguing drawing.
(And thanks for your comment on my blog. I don't think I'll be doing the gouache resist thing again--or if I do, only on a very small scale...)
I can only admit I do not understand all the love for zombies and cannibals and Creepy McCreepersons. But it is a great illustration, nonetheless! I love how you have the other guy's eyeglasses to the side of the plate. (Like Richard I wonder what that tidbit on the plate could be.) Blech.
oh my gosh...this is so creepy!;) and I love this!:)
ReplyDeleteThanks goodmo...it is a bit creepy..its easy to freak yourself out when drawing sometimes!

Pobre hombre!!!! la pierna humana sin sal es muy desagradable!!!! :)))

DeleteACK! ROD!!! What the heck! Cannibal Hannibal Ate His Identical Twin Edwin!!!
ReplyDeleteIts true Hannibal was a cannibal...but I thought he unwittingly ate his sister Mischa, I didn't know he had a brother Edwin (or did you make that up)?

Deletesurprisingly :-)
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteIs that the last of his twin or has he just begun to feast? Is the freezer full?
ReplyDeleteLooking on the bright side; he now has twice the wardrobe. yaaayy.
Is it true that you are what you eat? If so, this raises an interesting debate. (The freezer is half full if viewed optimistically.)
DeleteWhere's the red ink this time, my friend? I double dog dare ya. heh heh.
ReplyDeleteLast week I wasn't controversial...this week no blood...I am going to have to pull out all the stops for next weeks commission!!!!
DeleteOh no! So funny and so naughty!
ReplyDeleteWho me?
Deleteyum...hmmmm
ReplyDeleteI'm actually more concerned about what exactly that little thing on the plate is.
a toe garnish?
a bit of spleen pâté?
dental floss?
I am glad he kept the faith with the polka dot socks, however.
.
I think it was a simplified badly drawn cartoon ear!!!!!
