  2. Looks like a slice of the world.
This suggests to me que cada cabeza (cada mente, cada cerebro) es un mundo.
It is very difficult to reach the center of the world!
Es muy difícil llegar al centro de la mente de alguien!
    Gran trabajo Rod! as always!!!!!
    Amigo, buen fin de semana!

  3. Good heavens, what an idea that! But it's very good and very unusual like most of your concepts are.

  4. Whatever it takes to dig into that good brain-meat! Maybe this is what Van Gogh was really after.

  5. Eeek! On the other hand, I sort of see him as some kind of fruit inside a cube of jello. In which case, cutting him up for eating only makes sense. This fruit has many interesting layers. Oops, did I just call Gerard a fruit? I hope he is not offended. Those are some serious knife skills, sir!

    1. Haha..Maybe Jello cube would be more offensive than fruit?

  9. Is he going to eat his own head or is he offering it to someone else?? He's a crazy guy... it's hard not to laugh though! Reminds me of a crazy street theatre act.

  11. Looks more like a melon head, to me. Weirdly wonderful, as usual.

  13. Is this the only way Gerard can think outside the box? heh heh

I wonder.. if Gerard were to cut himself up and deposit his parts outside the dream box, then reassemble himself, would he enter the real world?

  16. yow.

There seems to be something about that ear being included in the cut that adds to the oomph here.

    Here's my read:
    too much ear wax.
caused an insufferable itching, and the Q-tip just wouldn't cut it, so he cut it himself.
immensely satisfying for about 2 seconds
~~in this illustration he's just finishing up that 2 seconds.
He'll now enter the painful pit of regret.

    1. Haha..."Ear wax causes man to cut slice of head off." Sounds like a headline from a British tabloid.

  17. My first thought was, "Wow! That's one heavy-duty knife!" But I guess that's probably what it would take to saw through a skull... LOVE the drawing, but now I feel a headache coming on....
