why confused? He is courageous and brave to take such decisions, don't you think? I think he realized exactly what is the essence of being not a part of internet madness..... ( I have to reconsider my blogging activity too, thanks for it!!)
Hahahah! very nice. I am thinking of doing the same. Thank goodness I don't have all those accounts you mentioned but I do have Facebook. I am not accepting any more friend requests from people I have never met in my life. Almost all of my facebook friends are current friends or were my friends when I was a kid! I was thinking of you the other day. My husband told me that my illustration of him looked gay. Oh my, how do I draw a real he-man? Then I thought of your drawings! Have a great weekend!
Thanks Ces...I am sure you drew your husband perfectly...all your drawings look real...tell him he mustn't be vain and to recognise his female side! I have a lot of facebook friends whom I don't know...if I get a request I just tick OK....it doesn't bother me because I never post my personal life and minute to minute movements like a lot of people seem to do...I think the swamp sounds easier sometimes!
What a great face, especially the eyes! An ingenious departure from the spherical Gerard. He's got a bit of an earthworm thing going on with that neck, perhaps he's de-evolving! Also, I wonder if the bee is going to fly into his mouth. :)
You know, I used to just accept ANY person on FB that wanted to be friends, because I was getting strangers contacting me who were fans of the animation I've worked on. Then one day I accepted a friend request from a woman who turned out to be a porn site. Her pictures and web address were then posted to my photos page and I had a very difficult time removing them because they were designed to be unremovable. I eventually just closed that account and will have to start over again, but this time I'll just focus on the cartooning, not 'friend collectors'.
Thanks Ted...I could imagine that would be a difficult one to deny to your real friends! Porn seems to crop up all over the internet without searching sdpecifically for it...bit like the 'swamp days' from millions of years ago (or the future!) probably.
Oh, thank you very much Mi Amigo, you always see different things because I'm not the same!!!! Today I am not the same as yesterday, and tomorrow I will not be the same as today, it's funny :D Oh, no!!! Tú quieres que yo dibuje sin mis anteojos? Realmente?... probably my dibujos se verían mucho mejor JA JA Good semana para tí y tu wife!!!!!! ¿Has festejado la Primavera?
I can understand him. Sometimes I think that's what being in China is, going back to the swamp... :-P (Especially now since my internet connection doesn't work at home...)
Ha ha!! Good move!! (Although, personally, I'd never be able to sacrifice the tv remote!) The shedding of the arms & legs reminds me a lot of the film, Boxing Helena. I laughed maniacally throughout that movie...hmmm....what does that say about me??
Yes, I suppose that sort of laughter is not exactly the best bedside manner, so perhaps I'll stick to drawing...but it truly was so ridiculous it was funny! Thanks for stopping by my blog! :)
Great post - and after shedding every other means of connecting, right down to possibly using sign-language, this fellow seems desperate to communicate, almost running out of space for what he has to say. I imagine it reflects his headspace, and possibly the reason for finding himself in so many virtual connections in the first place. A lot of my creative friends have been urged to connect, connect connect - and then soon find they are overwhelmed with keeping up with the boulder rolling on its own momentum that they have chained to an ankle. Nevermind finding time for their creative pursuits. Very thought-provoking.

Really? I feel the same every day. -wonder what's wrong with me?

ReplyDeleteHopefully you will get that sorted soon...don't want to be stuck in the Chinese swamp for too long!

ReplyDeleteYou made me google that film synopsis....sounds horrendous!!What does that say about you?....it says you mustn't become a surgeon.
