It's never my intention to use other people's ideas, but after I drew this, I realised that having seen my blogging buddy Ted Blackman's fantastic cartoon this morning, his idea may have had an influence on mine...who knows how the mind works?

  1. Haha, well. He certainly is in a predicament this time! It's a bit gruesome, really. Is the giant asleep? Or maybe he's been injected with a paralyzing poison! That Gerard is resourceful.

    1. Thanks Cindy..In answer..that depends on how you view the timescale between the text and the drawing..Is he escaping or being eaten..I never know the answers..I leave that for viewer interpretation.

  2. ¿YO NO PUEDO CRERLO!
Gerard cavó un túnel para escapar de la carcel, y salió en la boca de este come-hombres?

...or I understood it all wrong.
I think I understood it all wrong :(

  3. Oh good heavens!!! Between you and Ted Blackman, I have enough sources for nightmares. Somehow, when I first saw this, my ears hurt and I heard crunching noises. I did not realize I was eating crunchy cookies!!! Have a great week!

  4. I don't want to see the next panel just in case Gerard doesn't make his escape. Gerard is so fat and juicy, it could be very messy, like a tomato bursting. Yuk.

I hope he escapes though, we need to see more of Gerard's predicaments.

It wasn't my INTENTION to INFLUENCE you, but glad I did. This is a memorable and funny drawing, my friend.

    1. Yuk...not doing next frame now...reminds me of one the survival programs when they eat bursting insects! Strange what happened..I usually get my IF drawing out before you...saw yours first this week and did something totally different...then I realised the human food connection thing!!

  6. You guys really think he's going in there now? Wouldn't the giant's hand be on the top of his head trying to shove him in? I figured with his hands grasping the side of the cheek he was pulling himself out. Also, I don't think he would burst like a tomato. He is tough like one of those super high bouncy balls! Also, I like my paralyzing poison idea. :)

  8. Hey Hombre, yo no quiero estar estresado!
Yo creo que Gerard es un hombre que never going to be stressed!!
    El es tan feliz!
    Yo quiero ser como él!
    Gerard is definitely my hero!

  9. Thrilling! I hope Gerard survives, we need him definitely! He is such a universal guy and there is always something special happening to him.

  10. I am sure that Gerard survives. He is probably now more concerned about proper filling of the police report than escaping. What could ever happen to a guy like that?

  11. We're going to have to separate you two...
