Was the interview for the job just a normal one? It wasn't a normal job after all. Did he keep anything hidden? Its always best to tell the truth in an interview. They will find out in the end. How did he handle the questions. I'm wondering how it all went....The Vatican: "You tell us why you think you should get the job, Francis."....Francis: "I used to be a bouncer!" The Vatican: "You got da job Franky."

Men in white coats

                                                                  Size: 14 x 10cms
                                                                  Media: Pen & Ink
                                                                  Pen: Noodlers Flex

I drew this work of art in my little sketch book this morning whilst waiting in a hospital corridor for somebody else's appointment. The only pen I had was running out of ink and I didn't for some reason have my normal 3 or 4 fountain pens with me..With little ink I had one chance of making this thing work!!.It was a small work and various people passed me in my seat trying to see what I was drawing...it inspired me to draw mad faces with my pen...But these guys were the doctors and not the patients. All in a days insanity...

Some vague drawings about power. Some of this stuff was drawn whilst I sat next to a swimming pool in a small sketchbook. The power of the Spanish Sun.

Patrik Berg at GMC

                                                                Size: 13 x 18cms
                                                                Media: Pen & Ink
                                                                Pen: Sailor Sapporo

As some of you may know all ready, I love guitars and have spent a lot of my life trying to learn how to play them. To try and help my quest I go to a site called Guitar Master Class. The place is full of amazing guitar instructors (some of the World's Best) and people trying to get better like me....no kidding, if I had a place like this to learn 23 years ago, I'd have been playing like Jimi Hendrix a lot better by now. Some of the students, are guitar teachers who teach real (non virtual) students from their own studios...anyone can improve, on anything...learning never stops.
Patrik Berg from Australia is one of those teachers, with 70 students a week, who also studies guitar at GMC. Last week, Patrik, who claimed to be drunk at the time, offered to make GMC'ers their very own personal musical 'Jingle' via the forums there. I was very quick off the mark and told Patrik that if he made me a 'Jingle', I would draw him something. My GMC member name is 'Headbanger' and he wrote this piece of music dedicated to me called ' Headbangers Unite'.  Thanks Patrik, I love it!!
My drawing for him (above) is based on his forum signature quote :  "When your fingers bleed, you're getting somewhere." ... Hahaha...somehow, I feel sorry for his students!!

Edit: 27th August 2013 ... Patrik Berg sent me this photo of him with his drawing:

Framed and ready to hang on his Guitar Classroom wall!

There must be a story behind each Hybrid. How did the parents get together?... is a good question.
