Thanks Illustration Friday...I am proud to have picked this weeks topic 'Suspense'... I thought the same as I normally do when I first see the word....that's a silly word for an art prompt....Then when I saw my name next to it I realised it wasn't so silly after all !!!!!
congrats! (The best part is in the right corner, above ...)
ReplyDelete:)
That is the best bit!
DeleteBeautiful!Love the style and concept:)
ReplyDeleteCheers Theart!!!
DeleteLo felicito, Hombre!!! ellos han elegido vuestra propuesta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteuhm.......Tell the truth to this suspicious old man ;)...you had it drawn from Thursday, right? :D
Gracias Hombre!!!
Deletehey, thanks for your reply in Spanish, well, I understood everything perfectly! Tú escribes tan bien como Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, hombre!
DeleteObviously when I told you you had drawn on Thursday was a joke. (one bad joke, no one laughed)
Ah yeah, the other type of drawing is more shocking, but this is very good too, do not be discouraged, you're a great artist!!!!!! OLE!!!!!
Great composition. When I squint my eyes, it looks like a flag.
ReplyDeleteHaha thanks...Its sounds like one of those composition rules..like a pyramid or diagonal etc etc...but this is the flag composition!!!
DeleteI looked at this one....first I saw the pudgy boy...then my eye travelled around and when I landed on the little itty bitty man I gasped and laughed outloud..............thanks I needed that!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard not to see pudgy boy first!
DeleteAaaah, that's a bit terrifying. I used to love roller coasters but they are more likely to fill me with dread now as I wait in line (though it's been ages, now that I think of it). Nice illustration. I see he's still got the blue striped tie. ;)
ReplyDeleteBlue tie...matching sky...thought Gerard!
DeleteLove it.
ReplyDeleteNice sense of humor in your illo! And getting chosen for this week's topic is funny as it turned out. Great work!
ReplyDeleteVery fun illustration ... looks to me like Pudgy Boy is just about to lose his lunch.
ReplyDeleteIf he does he'll make up for it!
DeleteIt's good to see Gerard out and having fun, instead of getting fat behind his accounting desk.
ReplyDeleteReally? This word was your idea?? Now I have to do a drawing for sure.
I dont get the word emailed to me anymore. I have to go to the IF sight to find it now :(
ReplyDeleteNobody gets the word emailed to them at the moment..they have had a mailing list crash apparently for a few weeks and are trying to sort a new one out...The also have a Facebook page which gives(this)info.
DeleteAnd to the above comment, Ted, I look forward to a Clown or caveman in suspense.
haha, really funny, poor Gerard! Nice topic by the way!
ReplyDeleteThanks...Poor Gerard..he'll be up to other stuff soon!
DeleteWell, I've never had one of my topics chosen; some of them prompt more ideas in me that ever. This one actually did a lot (not that I have had time to do anything about it). But I really like your picture. It's frightening is a sortof surrealistic sort of way, like how dangerous could anything be to someone who is all blown up like a balloon. He could just let go, and go flying, but he's no doubt way high up in the air, and reality could come crashing down.
ReplyDeleteI like the analysis..Thanks!
DeleteI went to Illustration Friday and I saw your name there! Love the composition. I hope the terrifying top right bit never ever happens to me.
ReplyDeleteI love the Plum tree!
DeleteLove the fresh colors and the excitement! And congratulations for getting your word picked! Now I have to participate too... maybe tomorrow...
ReplyDeleteI'm busy with playing with the new laptop I bought. Have so much to configure, e.g. VPN service to bypass the great China firewall, otherwise wouldn't be able to see your blog since all blogspot sites are blocked from China :-(
Hi Rod!
ReplyDeleteGreat, that your topic has been chosen. I can't afford to miss it :)
Nice drawing. Maybe you can do it, a start to finish win :) Suggesting a topic and winning it ... Has anybody ever done it ?
I think the topic picker should pick the winner..It would be difficult though, as I have seen a good twenty at least so far so I would have to pull a name from a hat!
DeleteThe guy in front seems like he's an old pro, but I'm worried about the poor soul in the background who didn't make it... What became of him/her?
ReplyDeletenice movement here
~~~ and I almost see a "R" "M" spelled out in cursive with the track in your background...
hmmm...
clever? or subconscious?
.
Definetley subconscious!
DeleteAmusing illustration...it made me laugh out load. Thanks for suggesting this week's IF topic.
ReplyDeletePeople will laugh at others misfortunes!
DeleteI was so glad to see that this week's topic came out of your brain. I love your roller-coaster-guy!
ReplyDeleteStrangely enough Elizabeth, I can't actually remember submitting that word..I submitted a few one night a long time back, so it was a surprise to me that it came out of my brain!
DeleteHaha..Thanks for the comment (whatever it means!!)
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile. I reminded me of all the rollercoasters I have been on that felt this way.
