Some of the various character studies I made this week about mid life crisis and life away from work. I have tried to steer clear of the constraints of copying from life and therefore giving myself the freedom to draw directly from my mind..I enjoyed this and will probably do more.

  3. this is funny.I just discovered these drawings. But ...

But when begins the mid-life crisis ? Is it a very serious question ? Yes...
Interpretation of life expectancy could be very tricky, don't you think?
Does it mean that some time ago, lets say, Upper Paleolithic, where life expectancy was ± 33 year , their MID life crisis started at age 16.5 ??
Well, I am not sure when it is my turn.... hmmm , I do not feel as old as I am now. So Actually it means I never can enter in "the kingdom of mid-life crisis".........

Blablabla, I see it is time to philosophy these matters with my wife, may be she knows .... and time to enjoy good glass of wine!!

(BTW, sometimes it is good to look at older, historical posts. As I did today!!! )

  4. Art..I totally agree with what you are saying..what I like about Art is how it can often raise these questions..Mid life even if you take the average deaths age about 70 (ish) would put early thirties as mid life..I think its considered as a late forties to early fifties thing which is ridiculous... Look at David Hughes link on my page if you like going back through older posts on blogs...this guy would interest you I think!
