What an elegant appearance! I see Burroughs in there, but also a bit of MacGregor. I like his suit, his look and his sigaret. And the letters. And I'm the first!
ReplyDeleteOh BOY! The AUTHOR SERIES. This is gonna be great!
ReplyDeleteAnd this is a much younger, more scrubbed Burroughs than we came to know in the 80's. Maybe it's his pre-heroin days.
And I'm second!
Thanks Ted...I'm a bit lost these days....maybe there will be some value in an Author series.
DeleteI'm feeling the same way. Is Blogger fading? Activity is down. People Face-booking more. Trying Tumbler again, but it's a bitch to kick start. I don't really like the fast food format there. It's meme-city. What to do.
DeleteI tried Tumblr twice now and each time deleted my account. I agree meme-city. Maybe I'll give it another go one day....In the mean time I'll stick with this Blog. I don't think changing Blog sites will increase or decrease traffic. If someone is looking for certain types of images...both will turn up in the results.
DeleteJust say noooo to Facebook. Ugh! (I'm sorry, was the no very whiny?) I don't know why art blog visits in general seem to be down, but I know I am guilty as well. I have a feeling there's a kind of ebb and flow to the whole thing. I do have a Tumblr but have let is slide. Flickr is nice for series though! You could make an Authors set. Too many options, I guess! It does seem like FaceBook and maybe Google+ will be the main things. : /
DeleteStangely enough...I got an email this morning saying that I have 30 new followers on Feedspot....I went to the link and I have 29 followers. It seems kosher...just another way blogspots get looked at by a feed system I suppose?
DeleteI do not know him, but his suit gets 5 stars from me!! :)
ReplyDeleteLike Ted pointed out...He wasn't always well dressed. (I chose the colour for it) It was referenced from an old photo.
Deleteoh he looks fabulous!! I love the idea of an Author series too...should be fun and interesting and wow,,,is that Armani or Boss?
ReplyDeleteThanks Cynthia...Not Armani or Boss....Winsor & Newton!
DeleteI love it. Great face and suit. Hold on! Is that color I see? (That isn't blood or urine, I mean.)
ReplyDeleteLOL :P
Thanks Cindy...Yeah sometimes I get the urge to colour things in...like a kid with a colouring book! No blood or urine this time!
DeleteI guessed I missed the start of these. Interesting choice here. I'm from Lawrence, Kansas, home of this famous man himself. We even have a Burroughs Park. This isn't the way I picture him at all. I only saw him when he was old old old, standing at the front of the room reading from his work, which somehow always seemed extra disturbing coming from the mouth of such an ancient man. Twisted? Definitely. But I really like the idea of an author series.
