IF Shiny (Queen's Jubilee)

                                                                Size: A4
                                                                Media: Pen and Ink
                                                                Pens: Dip Pens
                                                                Gillott 404 / 290

As it was the Queen's Jubilee this week I thought I would take the Illustration Friday theme word 'shiny' and do something patriotic for her. A first for me in the comic strip style...I know.. don't give up your day job!
Three cheers to the 'Baked Bean' and three cheers to all who bothered to come here! Thanks Rod

Edit: (13th June 2012)
I noticed that this cartoon didn't open in lightbox very well so I have disabled view images in lightbox until
I can find a better solution...Now if you click on the comic it will open a window offering you a plus or minus zoom on the cursor..By zooming...it brings the comic up to a more readable size. If anyone knows a better solution please let me know. (I drew the original on international A4 size and scanned it in at 600 dpi).

Me gusta el humor de este estilo, cuando el humor hace que nosotros nos riamos de las cosas estructuradas

  11. actually, I think that day job can be put on the short list..
fun to read both images and text.... Although I've never heard a queen reputed to say "ain't"... especially a British queen...

    fun. more please.

    1. Thanks Richard. "ain't" was used as a sort of reference to a supposed commoner background amongst other things!

  12. Thanks Elizabeth (strange that someone named Elizabeth should be the first), Ces, MiDesigns, Patti, Cynthia, Roberto, Alex, Cindy, Ted, Claire and Richard for your kind comments...maybe I'll have another go at comic strip style as I received so much encouragement from you all!!

    1. Wow Ted...you must have read my mind...although I suppose that a Gerard comic wouldn't have surprised anyone...I am thinking now...maybe if a Gerard comic was successful, one one my best blogging buddies(Yes you Ted) could have a word with his boss at Warner Bros and we could discuss the rights to use Gerard in a film!!!!....:)
